DESCRIPTION:On 16 June 2026\, Setsuko Thurlow will deliver a keynote address at SBA Research\, followed by a screening of „The Vow from Hiroshima“ and an interactive conversation with both Ms. Thurlow and the filmmakers. \n \n„Hiroshima’s Message for Tech Students and Innovators Today“ features Setsuko Thurlow\, a Japanese Canadian nuclear disarmament campaigner who survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. She co-accepted the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017 on behalf of ICAN and has since remained an impactful advocate for nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. \nMs. Thurlow reflects on her experiences through her thought-provoking keynote\, followed by a screening of „The Vow from Hiroshima.“ This event will conclude with a brief Q&A\, where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with Ms. Thurlow’s message and experiences.
