DESCRIPTION:The Campaigners Meeting will take place the weekend immediately before the start of the March negotiating session. It is important that the negotiations get off to a great start in March. Having a campaigners meeting right before negotiations start will give us the opportunity to meet\, prepare\, strategize and get excited for the week to come. \nYou can expect this meeting to be hands-on and practical. We will focus on small group work so that everyone is involved and feels comfortable and ready for the hard work at the United Nations. We will go through key messages\, assign clear roles and responsibilities\, get up-to-speed on what needs to be in the treaty and generally map out the week ahead. This includes what we’ll be doing to communicate what’s happening at negotiations back to our capitals and\, especially\, to any governments that are not attending negotiations. \nThe March session will set the tone and establish the content for the whole process ahead.
